A sensor implanted in a paralysed man's brain has enabled him to control or manipulate objects such as computer functions or prosthetic limbs through just the power thought.

The concept has been floating around for a few(?) years and looks pretty amazing from what I've seen. It's also cool that they've made an implant out of it now. The stuff I saw on TV last year was being tested by a guy with dozens of wire hanging from his scalp and it took him a great deal of concentration to actually make it do anything. This looks like a huge step forward for (dare I say it) mind-control technology.
