There would be nothing stopping you. However, if you wrote racist and sexist music you might windup with a brick in the side of your head.

what would stop me? well maybe my comrades might think my job is easy and that i want to be a celebrity since music producers are pretty wealthy and have celebrity status./
Your applying Capitalist mindthink to a Communist society. This is why people invarably fail at grasping the concepts of a Communist society at first, or even a fourth, or fifth time around. We are pre-programmed by our education (read, learn, become, rather than read, learn, comprehend, apply) to believe that fundamentally your market is your second god. That your market will determine whether or not an idea is good, or if its a bad idea. This is why there has been no war on poverty. Why is that you ask? Well, there is no money in that problem. Cancer? The drug companies get huge subsidies funding their research into cures. Will they ever cure it without some radical thinker coming in and solving the equasion? Maybe, I suppose it depends on whether or not the money gets pulled. But it should be noted that many different Cancers have been treated through everyday herbal means. War on drugs? Well it should be obvious that by doing so they have criminalised many thousands of people (The USA houses 25% of the worlds prisioner population, the highest of any country at any point in time) by making these harmless people criminals they have created a power standpoint for most politicians (getting "tough" on drugs  ) and made the prison companies (yes, people actually do profit in the USA on incarcerating other people, however fucked up that seems) filty stinking rich. It can be logicly thought through, the war on AIDS, the war on litter, and at the forefront today: The war on terror.

Don't think in those terms. In a place where you are free to do what you want you are not "stopped". You are opposed for sure if you aren't contributing to society, your opposed if you (like Hopscotch said) produced discriminatory music, or if you generally flowed against the current of society (don't take this as a opposition of Free Speech, look at the society. In a perfect model Communist society the people would be working for themselves, and for their friends, for their neighbors, and for the world. They are working for everyone, and everyone is working for them. You are not phyiscally "stopped" unless you are flowing against the current of the people. This would be achieved if, say, you decided to hand out fliers saying "Blacks are the bane of progress!" or you decided "I'm only going to help you if you conform to my system." By flowing against society in a place such as this, you are flowing against the will of Humanity to survive, and to enjoy life for what it is. Who cares if its Free Speech if in the end you are fucking shit up in a perfect world? Sure, let them explain themselves. Though I have yet to hear a racist asshole successfully convince me that internment camps, and slave labor decided along racial, and belief lines is a good idea.)

Lets take a stroll down economy lane shall we?
Fact: The U.S.A. has enough developed land, populated streams (whats left anyway), wildlife, and indiginous knowlege to feed the population of the world.
12 times over.
It should be obvious that we are not doing this, thats for a number of reasons, all of which can be thought through logicly in your own free time (think like a business ran society in a world of other business ran societies.)
Opinion: We have in excess of 11,208.7 billion dollars (Out of a raw market (US) of 22,594.1 billion) coming out of various industries which would be either nonexistant or redundant in a Communist society. (Law, economic, "middle men", and incentive, for instance. All based on a 2001 industry report found here (http://www.bizstats.com/marketsizes.htm).)
This 11.2 billion dollars (roughly half of the market) would be nonexistant, and would free up that share of the market, along with those who are working in that market. This, with the unemployed (Bureau of Labor states that we have 7,015,000 people unemployed as of May 2006. Whether or not you want to trust this is up to you.) You have quite a few people with little to do. Why work to death a good... ohh... I'd say about 1/3rd of the population when you can have everyone working at a minimal level in their place of intrest at nearly the speed of a hobbyist, with the same result, and a more confident group of laborers?
Think about it. The entire world,
working
for the entire world. It's almost like sharing the world! :o It's almost like respecting people, and placing trust in them to forward whatever they find most intresting  . What a crazy concept! I think I'll just go back to whipping the minority workers into poverty, doing no work myself, and letting 35 million people die every year from the effects of poverty. Yeah, Thats not crazy at all.
"R_P_A_S"
and that i want to be a celebrity
Without a market to overhype your image to sell things, without personality cults following you based on what you may or may not have done, but people taking an intrest in you because of what you have done, what is wrong with being a "celebraty"? If you do no work, you wont be getting any praise (think of this as a huge study session; everyone is trying to learn, everyone is helping eachother, and one person is doing nothing. Reguardless of how much you respect him for what he has done, or what he thinks, what he is doing is nothing, and he should be evaluated for how he acts.)
Also, whenever you have any more questions like this, make sure you remember this:
Classlesss, stateless, moneyless. If your question refers to any of that, or the lack thereof: think about it critically. Are you accedentally comparing a Capitalist and Communist society?
Hope that helped. :)

This wouldn't be a "job." "Jobs" will be the production of basic necessities and very popular luxuries. So your day job might be some split up work on producing food/housing/providing services, etc. But at 4 hours a day (a high estimate), you have the rest do produce all the music you want.

Yes! thanks! great read. always wanting to learn more and open up my mind. sometimes is hard to think outside and realize these things. since we are raised to believe the opposite
I wouldn't say (as Americans anyway) we are raised to believe the opposite. I believe that as decision-makers, we are in a perpetual constant struggle inside our own heads. If you are simple minded you could call it "Evil vs Good", but the way I kind of picture it (IMO anyway, I have no proof) is that in a normal, loving, and kind family that some are lucky enough to be raised in we are taught "moral" values. What are those? Well I don't know. Some people get it through religion, some people like me just get it through experiances, some people are taught it as that "moral code" 16th century bullshit you see every now and then. These beliefs in a somewhat roundabout way usually have something to deal with helping your common man, forgiveness, peacefulness, and a general acceptance and loving of mankind. The sort of mental force of 'co-operation'. Then you have your bad experiances, harsh realities, exposures, and other things that deal with mankind in a bad light. That generally try to enforce the general negative outlook on mankind. The kind of shit you see everywhere when you talk to a cop. These people (probably) got into the police force origionally to protect people, to help people, and to generally do good. However after many many years of being exposed to the "dregs" of society it is easy to see how their views on Humanity could be negative (though every once and awhile you see a cop who is genuinely trying to make a difference, and has been in the police force for a long time... though that is rare.) This negative outlook is the anti-thesis of your religion, of your "moral code", or of your positive experiences.
You can kind of see where it goes from there. Of course our abismal education system only adds fuel to the negative, since we are pounded over and over to learn, study, know... or else you'll turn out like HIM!
