Rome's Bread and Circuses is so dated and passe.
We'll do one better. We'll have NO bread BUT circuses
Money for new football coliseum, but public farm sold off to rich private developer in Los Angeles.
NO bread BUT circuses (http://www.workers.org/2006/us/la-farmers-0706/)
ahem.... LEt them eat CAKE!
No really, no-one is starving in the US.
 You're serious aren't you. And this is why it's impossible to take you seriously 'no one is starving in the US' pfah. Bollocks.
People are starving in America? Me no compute.
Ah you're a robot, it explains your narrow-mindedness and lack of compassion. Yes, people are starving in America, would you really expect right-wing TV stations to broadcast it? Go visit New Orleans. [/b]
Are they really starving in New Orleans? I mean, like now, and not just for a few days during the flood? I mean I once stopped eating for three days to see what would happen. I got acidosis because my body started breaking down ketones from protein when it ran out of glycogen and almost blacked out every time I stood up. Apart from that, it can't be compared to the starvation in north korea can it?
