What an eyebrow raiser....

So the fragmentation of the British party politics scene continues. But, more importantly, the Tories have proposed to drop tuition fee's.

Ok, so he plans to cut student numbers at the same time. But for some student's whose position in University is secure, the prospect of having no tutition fee's will surely be too good to resist. Amazingly, I fear that many student's will actually be placing a cross next to The Conservative Party. Something which would've been considered nigh on criminal amongst many student peer groups in the past.

Luckily, many people do more than just issue vote (i.e. vote for a party due to one or two porposals they have that seem attractive) and many more know the Tories for what they really are. However with the results of the recent local elections, falling turnout and now this, is it possible that the Tories will edge a victory? I'm undecided on whether it'll bring victory. Obviously it won't be swaying my vote in favour of them. But this porposal is clearly the key plank in the Tory platform for the next election.

Any thoughts?

this is really nothing put a publicity stunt, they are doing it simply because they know it will win them a load of votes, not through any belief in the policy.

i see no difference between labour and conservative, just for one example i have debts of approximately £16,000 from my university education. i am lucky, i worked while i was in university others cant work and longer degrees such as law will leave students with £20,000+ debts

Of course, as well as that he basically plans to privatise the whole country.
