Mutiny Meeting

Hey all,

so there have been mumblings from numerous people that as well as the Mutiny zine is going, it might be time to start meeting again to talk about other stuff we could be doing in regards to the general shitty state of things in the world.

So we've decided to call a metting for Tuesday, July 4th at 6:30pm in the Duck and Swan pub on Rose St, Chippendale.

If you've been thinking/planning/scheming/theorising about what needs to be done please bring your ideas. I don't think there's any set plans or agendas (although i think a couple of people have specific things to talk about) but that it would still be good to meet at least once a month to maintain networks and keep up communication between people. Just so if something does happen that we want to do something about quickly (ie Cronulla), we won't feel like we're starting from scratch in organising a response.

hopefully lots of people show and stuff gets discussed and done :D

they're gonna be making it monthly from now on as opposed to weekly so hopefully that means that people will be more likely to come and stuff :)

quickie-styles reportback:

1. g8 action this friday, flier has been made up and stuff (there's another thread in this forum about it)
2. lots of talk about the tent embassy on the block because of the redfern redevelopment project. a bunch of people organised to go down to the block to chat with the peeps camping out. me and my bf went today for a coupla hours. also discovered that kbr (subsidiary of halliburton) is involved in the redevelopment of macdonaldtown, so an action will soon be planned against them ;)
3. mutiny zine - editing etc., when to do it.
4. guantanamo bay action on saturday.
5. september 21st - stop the war coalition are planning a rally on the night i believe, but prior to that we were considering doing a huge bunch of small scale actions across the city and just wreak havoc :D spread across a wide number of issues. so kinda like forbes but over a night instead of 3 days.
6. solidarity actions for arrestees, useful or not?

that's all i can remember right now.
