View Full Version : Oligarchy In The Philippines

The Philippines has a dominantly oligarchical/feudal politico-economic structure and like the election processes in countries with numerous political parties, elections are never representative of majority of the voters and more importantly, the population eligible for voting. Nevertheless(or probably Thus), it has one of the world's baddest ass left-winged guerillas(NPA) along with a lot of Islamic fundamentalists down south(its another matter, I know, but still magnifies the bad ass character in this country). The sad part is, though it(again, NPA) has been one of the longest running revolutionary forces in the world, if we are to transition to stateless communism, then we have to be industrialized first and then uber-industrialized after before stateless/classless communism, right? Maybe Stalin was just a unique case, maybe given the Philippines' conditions an early revolution that doesn't follow Marx's formula might be rewarding.
