I deleted some suggestions because I could only fit 10 and because those suggestions were never really suggested.
Anyways, I'm not so sure about reading redstar's papers but someone did suggest that so might as well put it up.

bobkindles, since you suggested two books on the May 1968 protests (both of which are not online), I only included one of them.
I replaced When Poetry Ruled the Streets with another book.

OK, so all of the works above except for The Spanish Cockpit by Franz Borkenau and Prelude To Revolution by Daniel Singer are available online.
Also, Anarcho-Syndicalism is by Rudolf Rocker.

Could I ask members to please vote for works that are available online so as to make this study group as convenient as possible. I don't want people skipping out 'cause they couldn't find or buy the book.

In order to get on with this Study Group, the poll will be closing at 00:00 GMT on Sunday 2nd July 2006. That's roughly 48 hours from the time when I am making this post....and we'll start reading the selected work on Monday the 3rd.

Okay, it's 00:00 GMT on Sunday 2nd July 2006 and, as it stands, the vote is tied between two of the shortlisted works. Therefore, this poll will continue for another 24 hours and, in the event that the vote remains tied, I'll have to think of something else. Perhaps all those who have voted in this poll could post in this thread allowing us to reach some form of consensus? Maybe we could read work X first and then work Y? Either way, we really should try to get this Study Group up and running this week....so this needs to come to a conclusion.

Why not simply start a run-off poll now, between the two top selections?

Sorry if I'm a bit late. I'm rather interested in doing this. Although it appears to be a 3-way tie now.
I was one of the two votes for the Limerick Soviet, but I'll change mine to Rudolf Rocker is we need to break the tie.

I figure I voted for Imperialism, always a good read, but will also shift to Rocker.

Sorry I forgot to sort this out yesterday, but I fell asleep early and therefore wasn't online at 12:00 pm. Anyway, it's clear now that we have a 3 way tie and although a few people have said they'd change their vote to Anarcho-Syndicalism, I've got a different proposal. The book on the Limerick Soviet is obviously an account of an episode that few of us know a lot about, so, as a compromise, why don't we just read that? Or, perhaps, we can just wait till there's a clear winner. Either way, if those who are going to take part in the Study Group could post in this thread, that would be much appreciated.

Don't be a clever bastard. <_<
P.S. If by tomorrow morning we don't seem to have any kind of consensus, I'll guess we'll just start reading Rocker. You can find it here (http://www.spunk.org/library/writers/rocker/sp001495/rocker_as1.html).

4 votes for Redstar, the young ones are truly being derailed
I already mentioned that I put my vote in for the wrong one.. and I wanted to read Rocker, so if you take my word for it...
I agree to the compromise, AS.
(Since it's the one I voted for in the first place ^_^ )

This poll is now closed. Although a compromise looked likely, I've just come online and found that we have a clear winner. So, with 6 votes Lenin's Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism? is the work we're gonna' read for the Study Group.
Apologies if that disappointed some, but for sure with all this interest we'll likely read another work soon. But, anyway, the studying starts from no. GO!!!!! <_<
 @ "Redstar's Defining Theory Collection by redstar2000 "
