Yeah, I read that on Beliefnet while I was questioning a while ago.

Well if religion must end, then how could you guys worship Che?

No one here worships Che. We simply respect the man for his beliefs, courage, and determination. That's how this discussion board originally came to fruition.

Even if it were true that we "worship" Che (I certainly don't, and I disagree with a lot of his ideas), you are committing the logical fallacy of tu quoque.

I'm not even that interested in Che.

I don't care about Che, he has made very little contribution to the fight against oppression and has added virtually nothing of much worth to criticise capitalism with. Furthermore I disagree with most of his ideas.

We don't. I, personaly, don't worship any human being, no matter who they are. It's actually pretty embarassing; I don't know -or care to know :D- much about the man. Idolism is for fools, and I don't do it it.

Count it. :D

You silly capitalists are your belief in a Che C.O.P.

The real question, is why do you believe in religion, as that is what the topic is about.

fuck you guys, Che died fighting for Communism, he did not renounce his beliefs, he's a martyr for the cause. To put this into better perspective He's the fucking Jesus of Communism. To call him worthless when you have contributed nothing to the cause pisses me off like you wouldn't fucking believe.

You've gotta be fucking kidding.

Did I fucking sound sarcastic? I've spent too much time and effort defending his honor only to have him bashed by the people he once defended himself.

Your idealism is showing.

Che has no "honour" because Che doesn't exist anymore!

That's right - he's dead. There's no point in propping up ***THE PERSON***, only arguing for or against specific ideas he had - that's the only way progress happens.

All the emotiveness in the world won't change that.

Or "bring him back from the dead"

Because of that statement there, I will never invite you to any of my Klingon parties. I AM KLINGON!

No skin off my ass. I'm in tight with the Cardassians. Just wait 'till we get in with the dominion and spank some Klingon ass.

Oh, wait.... the Dominion lost that war.

Shit.

Your argument is rather illogical.

You are aware that Spock was a member of Starfleet and would therefore put you on the same side of Ferg on this issue?
