The Revolutionary Communist Party (Organizing Committees) (French: Parti Communiste Revolutionnaire (Comites d'Organisation)) is planning a broad Revolutionary Congress this fall, 2006.
The Party itself was founded and is currently based in Montreal, Quebec, however steps are being made to expand the Party nationwide. It is made up, as it's name suggests, of numerous organising committies spread throughout Quebec with the generalized goal of ending Capitalism in Canada and replacing it with a Socialist system in the Marxist manner. It is a party of open-minded thinkers, philosophers, and activists, who have taken the time to examine the lessons of history, who are open to establishing and carrying out the Revolution in whatever means fits the Canadian socio-economic landscape best. To this end they have researched and partially adopted the Maoist theory of protracted people's war and People's Armies coupled with civil political insurrection and protesting. They are anti-seperatist (a hard-to-find quality in a Socialist organization these days in Quebec) and support the sovereignty of the First Nations peoples.
Their policies are open for one and all to discuss and debate. As it stands the Party is in the Organizational stages, and this Congress scheduled for this Fall will be their first major act, since the original Congress which formed the party, to take the party to its next stage of existance.
If you are a Socialist or Communist and believe in change, in whatever way, this is the Party for you. Please do not be threatened, intimidated or scornful of minor details in which you may disagree with the party -- such trivial details are insignificant; the main goal is not which "sub-sect" of Communism shall replace the current system but rather the immediate elimination of the current system itself. Details can be worked out later through the means it was meant to be worked out; discussion, debate, inter-party Congressional meetings. You may not like Maoists, or Leninists, or Marxists, or whatever -- but do you like change? Would you rather live in the capitalist system or in a Socialist system that minutely differs from what you believe in? At this stage in the history of mankind, any change is good change.

On a side-note: If anyone is interested, I would like to set up an English-only meeting committee under the RCP. I have been asked of my potential to do so, however I am not very social and do not make friends easily in the "real world". If there are any persons on this board who live in Montreal or Quebec, who are English by birth or preference, and most importantly are interested in change, however that may come and however it may end up becoming, please contact me via PM or Email from this board. Even if you do not live in Montreal or even Quebec but are capable of making regular visits to the Montreal area (perhaps once or twice a month) you can still be a part of it. And if it isn't obvious, yes, I am English, born in Ontario.
Thanks. No flames, please. ;)
