well i was just sittin here reading some of other peoples responses and ideas and what not...and i remembered a time I asked my teacher if a social democracy is possible and if it is could it be any better then this capitalist one set here, he said no it contradict the philosophy...well I wanted to know others opinion of this is it possible or will it just completly contradict???

democratic socialism is what I guess you are talking about. I personally feel there are 4 categories in which governments can fit. Classic Liberalism, Libertarian Socialism, State Capitalism, and State Socialism. Will there be a truely democratic decision making process in libertarian socialism? yes. Can there be a form of democracy in the other forms of government? Not to the same extent. People who call themselves "democratic socialists" are largely reformists and would lead to either a welfare state for state socialism.
