I have heard from a number of individuals that Islamism is a political ideology, I would like this conclusion to be explained, because I personally think is bollocks.

islamism is basically an attempt to politicise islam, i.e they want to run there countrys in accordance with islamic teachings (or sharia law). there is also ideas of creating a 'caliphate', which would be a massive muslim nation spreading throughout asia as far as turkey (i think). the idea of it is to go back to an idealised period of the old islamic empires. It is used now by arab capitalists to justafy their imperialist ambitions.

That could be said about Christianity as well.

Religions tend to have a religious side due to the ideas and codes behind them. Even some philosophies that began as political or behavioral values can also fall into religion like Confucius for instance.

Of course, not just Christianity but any religion. One only has to look at biblical law and the parallels in wester countries laws to see the impact. Thus suggesting that Islamism is any different is a complete bag of bullshit.

Yeah, man. It's a form of xtreme (to the max!) religious fundementalism.

They take the beliefs of the "prophet" Muhmoud really seriously, belive in authoritarian rule by muslim Law, and take Jihad (meaning Struggle) as a way of life. They also hate white people. Kill whitey!

Oh, and, by the way, it sucks huge monkey balls.
