The role of anything (in our case revolutionary organizations, economic systems etc) is to become obsolete.

I suppose it is. We hope that one day we wont be needed anymore, our goals fulfilled. Change is a constant and so all things become one day un-needed, decay or are destroyed. I think that to be obsolete is a characteristic of a mission accomplished, then like all other things what is obsolete must disappear.

"Role"?
I wonder what would replace normal humans. Superhumans, bigger, stronger, able to process information in the brain faster than the computer?
Will water become obsolete as well? Perhaps, it would be XYZ, twin earth.

Posthumans, to be exact.

Essentially, I was applying the use of the term to human relations. One cannot apply this concept (like Dialectics) to nature. They are both meant for human relations only.
