Hi, I'm GraylySquirrel. A friend of mine (not sure of his name here, but ZeroCool, if your reading this give a shout :P ) referred me to this site a while back, and I've been viewing it a lot as a guest, but I felt its about time I actually contribute as oppose to just observing.
I'm 16, stuck in a backwards upper middle class suburb of New York City. The frivolous lifestyles and greed I see on a daily basis around here is enough to make one sick. Hopefully I can use the position I was given in this sham of a society to help people who aren’t as fortunate. I've managed to bring my closest friend somewhat over to the leftist side, but for the most part I'm alone in my beliefs. I guess those who are comfortably usually don’t want change :( Its nice be somewhere were I can agree with others for once. My beliefs are rather Marxist, but I can't help the feeling that the only way real change is going happen is from the inside of the system, as oppose to attacking it from the outside.
