I don't know if there are any petitions circulating around that are protesting specifically the USA PATRIOT Act or the Bush Administration in general but if not I think we should start one. While 200 signatures won't make a different to the Fascist pig, a petition with 500,000 to a million signatures would certainly send a powerful message. If there is someone who has experience in organizing petitions either in writing or online please respond to this post or send me a message so that we can organize some solid opposition to the increasingly totalitarian policies of the Bush regime. There has been little talk of opposition and protest in the news for quite some time since the war is over and everyone in the U.S. is feeling super nationalistic as all of the soldiers are starting to come home. As this forum is arguably not the most popular, I'm going to post this thread under politics as well to kind of spread the word. Let's show the Bush administration that not everyone in the U.S. is falling for his propaganda and lies and that we will not live in a police state!

I actually started an identical thread under the "Practice" forum and all responses to this really belong there. However, since this forum seems to be the most popular I figured I might as well post this here as well so as to spread the word to more people. Hopefully, the moderators will understand this and not delete or transfer this thread. While posts made be made in response to this read in order to keep it high on the list of threads, posts that directly address this issue should be posted under the following topic:
