Well I don't know, I've heard some screamo at gigs, but I couldn't figure out if it was political or not ;)

it depends what you mean by screamo. if you mean the legitimate 1st and 2nd wave acts of the 1990s, such as antioch arrows or saetia, then i would suggest you check out the band Orchid. Yage is also great.

if you are talking about taking back thursday, or whatever people are calling "screamo" these days, I can't be of any help.

Hmm don't know if there is any. Scremo/Hardcore/Metalcore has the occational political message in odd songs. But then again Hardcore has always been about unity within the scene and being edge.

But this band aint scremo but they say that they are 'Positive Hardcore' there called 'Good Clean Fun' there Vegan Straight Edge but they sing about stuff like Equality, Animal Rights, Sexism & being edge.
