In britain a fight is brewing over the undermining of a traditional militant union. Privateers looking to break up a nationalised service are using tactics that circumvent the union across the country. At the recent Annual Conference the CWU called upon RM to come back to the negoitating table and properly adhere to the agreed procedures. 40,000 redundancies will be made if RM are allowed to continue unabaited. Grass root level activism is now moving forward and we are winning the propaganda war. The labour party does nothing to stop this onslaught
yet nationally we still pay the political levy to them. This due to their beleive that its best to be on the inside, my opinion is, that why pay to a party who has over the last ten years screwed to workers and allowed privateers a free hand to plunder the people's assests.

Royal Mail management being underhanded trying to divide the workforce. Called for a big meeting in Birmingham, local unit reps invited. Told mamagement that they need to use the correct method of negotation should be through our national Officers. Union Busting tactics being used to undermine the national union.
My office is strong and I beleive that they have started something that they will not be able to finish.
To all comrades across the world keep the good fight going!

Have now entered period of intensive negotiations Management are realising that this union will not cowtow to big business threats. Alot of backtracking from management, just shows when enough working class realise the power they hold the very foundations of business quake. Will keep you informed comrades.

The bosses backed down and decided that negoitiation was their only option. They have tried to put other things into the agreement. Problem is that now is the time to go for the throat and ensure the viability of the Union. Our leadership seem to have been approached by the Government in some unofficial capacity. Pressure from the governemt who reneigned on their commitment to ensure an publicly owned post office. What seems to be interference from the Government i.e. withholding investment plan as a bribe to ensure the union does not go through with the strike ballot. This is typical of the Labour Party and just shows that the historical claims of that Party as the working class Party are false and like all reformist parties are destined to betray the very class they believe they represent.

its been a couple of busy months. After 4 days of unofficial action the bosses relented, But have since reneigned on the return to work agreement. It looks like the ongoing attack upon the rights of britain's post workers is forging ahead. All across britain postal workers are registering ballots for strike action. If only the leaders within the union realised that now would be the perfect time for mass action. 24 members of the union were taken down the conduct code due to being on the picket line all this after the return to work stated no victimisation. This Monday we strike officially to keep our present working conditions. I'll keep you posted.
