Hello All!
New to Rev.Left and just posting this to get some replies that will get me all pumped about being here! Not that I'm not already pumped :D
I'm not completely sure about where I stand politically yet. I know I think communism looks like an excellent idea on paper, I'm just not positive about how I feel about it becoming reality... the whole "getting there with violence" thing is a little scary to me
However, that being said... I am suuuper excited about learning more about it and from there deciding where I really do stand on the political line.

I’m sure we all would like to get there peacefully but I don’t see the ruling class giving up that easily.

I guess I'm going to need a lot of convincing that Communism is THE way to go - enough to tolerate killing people for. Maybe I'll be convinced on here... we'll see, and thanks for the welcome!

Thank-you so much for your reply R.B. - I found the article very interesting and somewhat persuasive.
The slave is always in a state of legitimate defence and consequently, his violence against the boss, against the oppressor, is always morally justifiable, and must be controlled only by such considerations as that the best and most economical use is being made of human effort and human sufferings.
That part got to me the most. I'm finding it important to remember that there are many different definitions to explinations. ie. human sufferings - isn't as literal as I may have taken it in the past. Sufferings in this case are refering to the working class being forced to work in order to survive. Is that right?
Anyways, thanks a bunch - it's appreciated!
