How to organize at my school

So I would say I'm the only leftist that I know at my school. I'm not sure, if there are any others at my school. I'm afraid to ask though. Everyone I do talk to about politics are right-wingers, and they don't care all to much for politics. The people I suspect that do care for politics are goths and punks *i can't tell anymore* and I'm afraid to ask, because I've met some that claim they are Nazi's. I'm also afraid to ask, because everyone allready thinks I'm nuts. I don't need to look like an idiot and get my ass kicked by goth's and punks. What should I do?

Is there a local place where leftists get together or anything?

You could form some kind of leftist political group and post stuff around school to see if anyone is interested.

It's good that you're eager to start organizing, but just remember that "forming a group" and "doing stuff" isn't the be-all and end-all, especially if the conditions aren't right for it (ie: there's nobody to organize with). So keep your eyes and ears (and mouth!) open, try putting up some posters like Janus said, but if it doesn't produce anything, don't fret. Use the time to get deeper into theory. That'll benefit you in the long run.

well my friends and i are trying to form a leftist group at school but thats kind of hard because the school we go to is run by people on the right... so we thought of joining one but we cant seem to find any in jamaica or in the caribbean for that matter...please help

The school I go to is similar to yours, except in mine no one cares about leftwing politics at all. Only threeish people know anything at all about politics and they're all extremely conservative. I hate the amount of apathy present at school, it makes me feel insanely isolated and alone :(

Well the people in my school don't care at all for politics so I didn't bother but they did once put up a poster in my school which told us to support the war in Iraq so I printed out an article on Haditha and like 6 pictures of Abu Grahib prison abuse and taped it to the poster. It didn't get anything accomplished but it pissed off the head. he never figured out who did it though.
