Well I like the Pistols.

Face it: Provoked, State of Fear, Tragedy, Battle of Disarm, yeah, they're good, but they, and 88% of all other anarcho-punk bands can get fucking boring after awhile. Bands like the Pistols put a sharp sound onto the table, and without them, I doubt we'd have bands like Detestation, Kaaos, Chaotic Dischord, Nausea and The Exploited.

What do you make of claims that the Pistols were situationists, though?

I wouldn't go that far... Punk was as much an image as a sound. Someone would have made that spark, whether it was the sex pistols or not.

To tell you the truth, I wouldn&#39;t mind at all if bands like these didn&#39;t exist.

Well they probably are a bit of a sham and nowhere near as talented as contempory punk bands such as the clash or stiff little fingers. Having said that I like them, its great fun and full of anger.

Never mind the bollocks was one of the best and most influencial rock albums ever. The Sex pistols where a true punk band. I never saw the Clash come on a boat to the Queen&#39;s jubilee and sing a song like god save the queen. They were truly punk because they pissed off everyone and didn&#39;t give a fuck.
