It's about time we leftys start a mass petition to hand into the UN to say that the world is not happy with the way isreal gets god-like treatment, a few warnings with no bite, obviously theres nothing wrong with the isreali population, but their government needs to be kicked into line.

It is infuriating how Israel is treating with kid gloves. It's always "Now, now, that was a very bad thing killing civilians. Don't do it again, ok?". Jeezzzzzz. Does anyone know of a website that has kept a tally of all the killing and incursions perpetrated by the Israeli gov't, since the beginning of the 2nd Intifada? I have lost track myself.

This may be why:

I might point out that Israel would never be brought before The Hague Court for the crimes against humanity committed. Why? Because there is language in The American Service-members' Protection Act, otherwise known as "The Hague Invasion Act" that protects any US Allies from prosecution in that court. Israel specifically falls under the umbrella of countries for which the US would invade the Netherlands, if any of their nationals were detained by The Hague.

The UN and International community is obviously abiding by a hand-off policy as far as Israel is concerned because of the fact that Israel is specifically protected by the United States - American Service-members' Protection Act otherwise known as "The Hague Invasion Act", as well as the fact that the US is providing three billion dollars a year in military aid to Israel, by contract and treaty this happens automatically no matter what. It is a case of fearing the US that keeps Israel in the game and the hand-off policy by the UN and the global community as far as their crimes against humanity are concerned.

Meh, there's way to much huff about this ICC thing. First, we don't dare to take Americans to the Hague because of the Hague Invasion Act, and even if we did the Americans wouldn't dare to invade for one or two soldiers.

Anyway, I don't know where you guys live but if the Palestinians were f*cking with you for years by blowing up buses full with innocent civilians you wouldn't treat them softly either. I know that often innocent Palestinian civilians are harmed when the Israelis intervene but they're not intentional.

Well the means justifies the end, the palestinians are reacting like a cornered animal, and thats just what they are, cornered by isreal and the US.

FYI, the Palestinians have not been blowing up Israeli civilians for years. Strikes on Israel were strictly against military targets. When the Oslo peace accord bit the dust, Sharon visiting Temple to provoke Palestinian muslims, the reoccupation of the terroritories and the massacre of Muslim worshippers by an Ultra-Orthodox Jew, did those faction on the Palestinian side say all bets are off and everyone in Israel is a target.

The Palestinians should do what??? Put up with the bullshit, the murdering of innocents?? I don't think so. The IDF is no different than anyone oppressive force in the world and being a supposedly "democratic" country doesn't wash either. These people are being cut off from their jobs, their businesses being shut down or destroyed, being forced to stay indoors for hours on end to avoid break irrational curfews. Where the humiliation of these people end? If I had to put up with only 25% of the crap Palestinians have had to endure, being a suicide bomber looks pretty tempting versus a life of mere existence under an occupying force.

first israel has killed 2,405 palestinians since 28th september 2000 which by comparison is fuck all to the amount of israelis killed what do you expect these people to do just sit there while israel takes more of their land there are 6.5 million palestinians and about 3-4million are refugees live in poverty juts because israel whats there land its the worst case of the breach of human rights there has ever been we must now support the palestinians.
