Hello friends

I thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm from Liverpool, UK and have been interested in political history since my school days.

I've read widely, from the Manifesto to Mein Kampf, from Thatcher to Trotsky.

I can't put a date on the start of my communist beliefs, although being brought up in Thatchers Britain must have helped.

I'm glad that I've found a 'base' for communists and socialists (and those who disagree with us) to talk and debate and I look forward to adding to this.

It's a nickname from my school days. Apparently, I always tried to dribble past opponents when playing football (soccer), so they gave me a sort of Brazilian/Portuguese type pseudonym....oh yes and my first name is Simon ;)

I like that saying but it sometimes doesn't make sense why keep your enemies closer when they can stab you in the back but maybe thats just my ignorance talking. Hi anyway and enjoy and also whats the point reading mein kampf it's a pile of facist garbage it only talks about killing the inferior races and creating a arian race.

Actually, it's more about Hitler's belief that the so-called 'inferior' races will die out on their own, by a process of 'evolution' or 'natural selection'.

Hitler tries to use Darwin's Theory of Evolution and Nietzche's Theory of the Superman to prove his 'theory'.

The fact that these so-called 'weaker' races kicked his arse all the way back to Berlin, is fairly tangible proof that his theory was.....'bollocks'.

As for me reading it, well, I'd sooner find something out for myself rather than always take someone else's word for it.
