Know how to use bittorrent?

If so you could find a copy of adobe photoshop on isohunt.com. I know that's where I got my copy of adobe photoshop CS2.

Do you want Free as in speech? Or Free as in beer? Or both? I'll have one beer with a shot of freedom please.

Check out the GNU Image Manipulation Program (http://www.gimp.org/) and also do a search for GIMPShop. It might be hard to use, but the more you use the easier it gets.

What other software do you want? Games? Lots of Free(dom) games out there, I don't know how many run on a Mac however. Office suite? OpenOffice.org KOffice Gnome Office are all Free(dom) Software. I don't know which ones run on a Mac however.

(For more ideas on Free Software, see http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/philosophy.html and an essay I drafted (I think I got it published in one place) http://www.revolutionaryleft.com/index.php?showtopic=25528)

I know www.download.com has some free software downloads (not Adobe though!) I have Adobe Photoshop Elements, if there's anyway I could send the program to you I can do that. I'm really bad with the computer so TALK..IN..WORDS...I..CAN..UNDERSTAND. ;)

I've just been experimenting with the BitTorrent client, and I've got what might be Photoshop downloading right now...! Hopefully it will work, which is really a coin toss... (Have to see in 6 hours, that is, if it ever finishes!)

I've never used bittorrents before, but I've been meaning to learn about it for some time. I guess necessity really is the mother of all invention :P

I found Adobe on Isohunt, thanks for the hookup ;)

apathy maybe, is the GNU network a similar concept to bittorrents?

It doesn’t matter if people commit illegal acts or not, but by using software that is not free (as in speech) (open source if you wish), you are not encouraging the development of that software.

There is a file sharing tool called Gnutella, however it has nothing to do with GNU or the Free Software Foundation (see http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/gnutella.html for more information).

The GNU Project was launched in 1984 to develop a complete UNIX like operating system which is free software: the GNU system (GNU is a recursive acronym for “GNU's Not UNIX”
Since then it has produced shit loads of good quality free software which is used on millions of computers around the world.

I recommend reading through the site I posted earlier as well as the article I also posted.
