i have heard rumours that fidel castro is a jew. at first i thought it was crazy but then i remembered that their were jews living in spain before general franco expelled them and castro has spainish blood in him.

he isn't jewish, he is atheist. Though when he was little the kids used to call him "jew" as an insult because he wasn't baptised.

Fidel is a catholic, raul on the other is the athiest, raul had always claimed to be a marxist-leninist, whereas Fidel didnt

There is a medium-sized jewish community in Havana. It is actually the second-largest foreign community (behind chinese) in the city.

Castro is not atheist, he does not believe communism is incompatible with religion. Cuba is very tolerant of the various religious groups that exist there - Catholocism, Santaria, Judaism...

There is alot of evidence that he is jewish...

1) He has always had a long beard

2) He trained as a lawyer

3) His father was an imigrant

Just to clear something out: jews weren't expelled from Spain by Franco. They were expelled from there in the 15'th century by the spanish inquisition.

Probably because the person who posted this is jewish and wants to relate which isn't a bad thing. I wish Castro was Greek but of course we have enough heroes and legends already! ;)
