How would primative communism work in modern day society? How would it be organized? Any basic easily understandable information on primitive communism would be greatly appreciated.

A good Utopian book that kind of discribes a modern day primitavist world is Ecotopia. Great book in my opinion. Its primary goal was to discribe what would happen if Oregon (yay!), Washington, and California were to succede from the Union, and what the following society would be like.
This of course isn't to imply that every Primitivist is a Green, but the only logical explanation (in my opinion) for reactionary attacks against technology to "bring us back to the Earth" so to speak; would be to "save the planet" and to "equalise the ecosystem, not just equalise our society." After reading this book (and sitting in on a Political Ideology lecture about the Green Party's structure & goal) I obtained a greater appriciation for the Green movement, and most definately include Green politics into my vision of the future movements. From what research I have done I see no conflictions between Green goals, and "Red" goals (so to speak.)

^^^There is the book off of Amazon.com, Used copys are ~2 dollars. Sadly no entry on Project Gutenburg though, so it looks like you will have to buy it.

I do not understand this question completely. Do you mean communism without technology (some variant on primitivism) operating in modern society? Or do you mean modern society organised along the lines of 'primitive' communism?
I think the second is not possible (or desirable) as modern technology makes a lot of the social norms and structures of this sort of society obsolete.
I think the first is also not desirable, but is possible for small numbers. Members would have to hang out in World Heritage areas and rain forest and stuff. It would be a shit life and most people would hate it.

Your taking this out of context, mainly primitivism wants to:
A. Produce what is needed to survive, rather then to live exploitively, or needlessly.
B. Return to the more direct dependance on the Earth, as in removing artifically added things to food that makes it both unhealthy and even dangerous at times to eat.
C. Destroy all technology of which destroys and/or exploits our planet (coal mines, combustion engines, mills, paved roads, etc.)
Thats my best interpretation anyway, check out the wiki on it.

Primitivism is wanting a society that existed before agriculture.
As such yes, primitivists want to get rid of technology, they want to return to a more direct dependence on the earth and they want to take what they need to survive rather then exploiting the earth.
They want to return to a hunter-gatherer society, and there are not too many places where they could do this. World Heritage (Nature) areas are some places.

Going back to primitve communism in the modern world could only be achieved on a small scale. If we really did that globabally, a portion of the population would die.
Primitivists want to go back to it because they see the beginnings of domestication as the beginnings of class society.
