I am seeing Tool play live at the hammersmith apollo on wednesday. I predict it will be amazing.

Now nurish my black heart with your envy.

I'm indifferent, I was going to go to that gig, but I decided I had better things to do. It would have been nice to see them live but I'm not a fan of crowded venues.

I predict they will have ridiculous dancers on stage and a crowd filled with fuckwits.

I predict you are 100% correct!

Every gig I have been to has fuckwits in the croud, and considering that Keenan paints himself blue ridiculous dancers will be nothing short of sober.

Speaking from personal experience, I predict it will be the best show you've ever been to.

When I saw them a couple of years ago, the dancers weren't on stage, but suspended by wires against a very ethereal video backdrop.

I dunno, I have been to a lot of amazing gigs before, from amazing bands. But despite the fact that the bands may be better and the act was more lively, the best gig I have been to is still the first one I went to, which was an inferior band and an inferior act. But nothing has the magic of the first show you see.

But please don't imagine that I dont want and expect to be proved wrong!

Oh and why that song as a user name?

It was really good, Tool were like studio perfect when they played. It was amazing, I can not believe how good they are at playing this stuff, while being perfectly in time with the video sequences running behind them.

I wish they had bee a little more interactive with the croud, but it was spectacular.

I knew you'd like it.

With regards to them interacting with the crowd, when I saw them, they never even put a spot light (or really any other kind of light) on Maynard. You could just barely see him during the whole concert. In some ways I thought it was a good way to get the crowd into really focusing on the music. Maynard did speak a couple of times directly to the crowd, but not a lot.
