What a powerful two hour speech!!! He made so many great points. To see the Cuban people in la Plaza waving their flags and chanting in the name of Cuba, it touched my heart. I wish i was still there to be with them, I might have to go back earlier than expected.

I will back this clear: if the U.S. goes for cuba they will not win. The U.S. will be destroyed again. The U.S. has a big army, but Cuba has millions of passionate people willing to fight. It would be hand on hand combate, which american soldiers would not be able to endure. Passion and heart ranks above a weapon. The cuban people come out many times a year to train in case there an attack. They will be ready, as they always have been.

Interesting point that Castro made: How come when Spain (my homeland) executed members of ETA, without trials, nobody said anything? How come there was not a huge debate about how the situation was handled? They were accused of terrorism and then executed. Cuba did the same thing and the U.S. was up in arms about it.

Other points he made: the U.S. government is a fascist government, the U.S. government is slick and dishonest, that the U.S. attacking would deeply hurt him (emotionally), that there is no point in sheding Cuban or American blood, that it would be sad to start a war when the American and Cuban people should be friends, etc.

If its on again i really suggest you all watch it.

After reading Castro's speech, I feel like moving my family to Cuba, seriously, I feel so identified with their principles, that I think it would be better for my children. I don't want them growing up in this country, is either Argentina or Cuba

Does anyone know how hard it would be to obtain a legal residency for family in Cuba?

I don't know if it would be all too hard. Where do you live? It could be harder if you are from the U.S. All I can tell you is that you have a special given amount of time and you have to pay every couple of months to live there. This is what i was told when i was looking into staying there permanently.

If U.S. were to attack Cuba, I'm sad to say that Cuba would fall. Sure civilians come out to train in case of an attack, but did you not see what happened in Iraq and Panama. The U.S. has "smart bombs" laser guided missles. If these "smart bombs hit civilian homes in Iraq, do you not think that they wouldn't hit the homes of the civilians in Cuba. And you know that the U.S. will always launch an air attack first.

If the U.S. were to attack Cuba, it would fall, but the world would rise against the U.S. Perhaps not governments, but the people would.
