I'd say the majority of the people on this board are from america.
If not the majority, then a large portion.

Thats good to hear. America lacks a real left. The Democratic Party is center right, and does not deserve to be considered left or even liberal. Americans liberals hover around the international center. I'm a Social-Capitalist Civil-Libertarian Techno-Progressive. I guess I could call my self a Technic or something.
Of course, I could also call myself a collective individualist.

I'm from America. We lack a real leftist party that is true but honestly I never lot of leftism as being concerned with political parties. I'm a member of the Socialist Party, for local elections where some change is possible. The website for the Socialist Party is www.sp-usa.org.
Now, leftism is very sporadic in the United States which tends to be it's downfall but there's plenty of leftists groups that may peak your interest. Some aren't completely free of contradiction and critique but take a gander at these:
www.iww.org
www.foodnotbombs.net (I understand you're from California where Food Not Bombs seems to be big, there's an LA site www.lafoodnotbombs.org)
www.aclu.org
www.sds.org
Political Parties:
www.cpusa.org (Communist Party USA)
www.socialism.com (Freedom Socialist Party)
http://www.wsws.org/sections/category/icfi...shtml(Socialist (http://www.wsws.org/sections/category/icfi/sepuscat.shtml(Socialist) Equality Party)
http://www.slp.org/ (Socialist Labor Party)
http://www.worldsocialism.org/usa/ (World Socialist Party USA)
http://www.usmlo.org/ (U.S. Marxist/Leninist Organization)
http://trotskyist.hp.ms/ (Trotskyist Labor League)
http://www.workersolidarity.org/ (Workers' Solidarity Alliance)
Keep in mind, there's TONS more. Look for a comprehensive list of all 3rd parties.

I'm from New York City. There are alot of people I see on the streets who wear Che shirts and hammer and sickle shirts and there is the national marxist conference in less then 2 weeks here so I think there are a few comrades here but not really any on this site.

Nashville, Tn.....The very heart of the bible belt... But, we do have that "southern hospitality" so alot of people are very nice! But it still sucks....niceness can't make up for lack of any leftist scene.

what school do you go to? I'm here in SoCal aswell. Ain't shit here as far as any sort of lefties. Well I do know this one guy who's associated with the RCP. He invited me to go to one of their meetings in LA.
I'll think I'll just because Chairman Bob is a real hottie.
Did someone say there weren't many leftists in the bay area? Jesuschristoflatterdaysaints, you have Berkeley for cryin out loud.

The only place I've ever seen that you actually see roving bands of Hippies on a daily basis.
