Don't you think that the Russian Revolution (the one in which Lenin and Trotsky figured in) was really a revolution by the Bourgeoisie? You may answer that the Kerensky regime which Lenin toppled was the Bourgeoisie. Well, you know that Lenin later came up with NEP which was a capitalist system. Lenin and his followers tried to circumvent the Marxist historical process but when they came to power they saw how wrong they were. Russia was not advanced industrially like Germany or Britain and so there couldn't yet be a dicatorship of the proletariat. And didn't Lenin execute all those anarchists when they rebelled. Lenin was like Robespierre---however noble their intentions were--- they failed to see that the time wasn't right for the proletariat and they would just have to wait until the material forces have developed to the extent that the bourgeoisie will have ensured their own destruction.

The Russian Revolution necessarily carried out some tasks of the bourgoeis revolution because the Russian bourgeoisie refused to carry the tasks out.

Because the bourgeoisie (under Kerensky) refused to end their participation in WWI

They did "rise up" and displace the Tsar but did not have the will/ability to manage the transition to a capitalist mode of production.
