Hi
I've been looking for a socialist forum for quite some time, and it's a relief to find one at last...
I'm a believer in Reformed Communism, and I live in the UK.

Welcome, my reborn comrade to the reformed church of Lenin! Please, take off your shoes before you come in.
Actually, I'm giving you too hard of a time.
What do you mean be "reformed communism"? Like, you're a social democrat or a Khruschevite?

By "reformed communism" I mean the core ideals of communism, just with some changes. I believe in democracy and freedom of speech, for example, but at the same time I oppose personal possession and other capitalist evils...

Heh! It is rather confusing...suffice to say I have difficulty accepting traditional Marxism and I think communism should be re-thought...

Why would you oppose personal posession? I can justify needless possession, or harmful possession... but eliminating all personal posession? Do you want people completely dependant on government handouts forever? Even after your Leninist state would "wither away", who would be the "owner" or 'group of owners' of your necessities such as clothing?
Of course Communism should be rethought, but what "needs" to happen is to bring Marx into the 21st century. Ask yourself (based on previous reactions) what his take on it would be, and if yours differ at all?
I highly doubt that Marx or Engels would ever have imagined a Computer, or Cell Phone. The means of communication have reached far beyond what he could have imagined in the 1800s, therefore re-examination of what core beliefs should be adapted to fit a 21st century Communist frame.
