Yeah. I like how the U.S. denies it by saying that the peaceful protesters were armed.
I'm ashamed to be American when my fellow countrymen do shit like this.

Hell, I'm Canadian and I'm ashamed to live even close to the US.

Actually, we need more open-minded people like yourself in the US to try and fight misinformation... there's already plenty of us in Europe and Canada...

Some American soldier with a ginger beard said "We only shot at people who were armed" Yet, I see a kid about nine laying in a hospital bed after being shot..

Now iraqis are free. But it's an american freedom: "shut the fuck up or speak to my gun!"
Like Death said there were kids in the crowd and u$ soldiers don't hesitate to shoot.
It's awful and disgusting.

This event is doubly terrible, not only because it was a vicous attack on (most likely) unarmed civilians, but that it's simply throwing more gas on the fire (no pun intended) of anti-US hatred in Iraq. The more shit like this happens, the closer we are to another war, this time started by the Iraqis to kick the US out. Not that I don't want to see the US out, but if the Iraqis rise up against the occupation violently, they will lose, in a bloodly massacre of defeat. They might even resort to acts of terrorism, and we'd have another Palestine situation on our hands.

It reminds me of a certain Bloody Sunday, although this one is sure to be forgotten about by the world, cause it was in an "inferior nation". I doubt there will be any proper inquest into any of the questionable attrocities now being committed by american troops/nut-cases.

Absolutely attrocious! Yet another example of the horrors an unjustafiable war as such, led by a barbaric and war-mongering madman such as Bush. I'd like to see how much blame Americans take for the shithole Iraq turns out to be once "freedom" is enstated and Iraqis are "liberated".

Wow, even CNN aren't defending this one. The headline was "U.S. Soldiers Open Fire on Civilians"!
The reporter went to talk to the soldiers, they said they were under fire. But then came something AMAZING to me, the CNN reporter cut in and said:
"But the evidence tells a different story from these soldiers. Houses all across the street are riddled with bullets, several civilians are confirmed to have died and been injured in their houses and bakcyards without even taking part in the protest. At the same time, we have not found a single bullethole in the walls of the school where they were standing, and none of the Americans were injured."
It seems around 70 civilians were hit, all in all. How do you come under fire, and manage to shoot 70 people while not sustaining one injury, or even one fucking bullethole in the wall behind you?!?!
Murderers, plain and simple. They should be given a military tribunal and executed, like the war criminals they are.

p.s. and why did the protest start in the first place? Because the Yanks set up a command post in a Children's School, and the locals were asking them to move it so classes could begin again (so it's not just Saddam that has his soldiers hide in schools, and remember these soldiers still come under attacks, so being in a school is just fucked up).

that is amazing that the cnn robots actually stepped away from the propaganda engine they have pre-programmed with. who knows, maybe even harsh and pointless violence can crack even the most plastic of the media's ranks.

They just did it again, in the same town, earlier today. The people were protesting against the last shooting, and they shot them. I hope to spit on the graves of these fucking "soldiers".
Reports still sketchy, but at least a couple of people dead.

CNN has to occasionally show something like that to make the public think that they're actually unbiased. "See? We're a fair, objective news source! We show you both sides!" They (wrongly) build credibility this way, which I find hilarious.
It's a balance issue. They choose events which might seem to portray the US soldiers in a bad light, but that in the end they know will not raise any eyebrows from your everyday American.
"A few sandniggers died? Big deal! We lost 3000 good americans here on 9/11, they deserve it! Never forget!"
Oh, I'll never forget my American friend. I never will.

"WE CAME TO LIBERATE YOU FROM OPPRESION, YOU IRAQI SHITS, NOW GET INSIDE YOUR HUTS NOW, THE LAST PERSON I SEE OUT IM GONNA KILL YOUR FAMILY"
- was what the yankees might as well have said.
