I was checking out wikipedia a few moments ago and noticed that the featured article was about transhumanism. I've heard of the movement before but only had a vague understanding of it. After reading the article, I must profess that I find the subject rather interesting, especially since I noticed a little section within said article outlining "Anarcho-Transhumanism."

I employ others to look into teh subject as well as it provides a rather nice example of how scarcity can be overcome through proper technology and how the human condition can be risen from the barbarism of capitalism and into a freer society.

I think that most members here agree with certain aspects of transhumanism particularly the progressive ideas that are part of its paradigm. The only thing I don't like about it is that there are certain strains of transhumanism that are made up of spiritual transecendentalists. However, the majority of transhumanists are secular and materialist.

By the way, would Philosophy be a better place for this thread?
