yeah, ive heard of these blokes. they did that 50 city thing recently and have some highly produced websites. but i would ask that you refrain from calling them neo-nazis when they are clearly not. christian fundamentalists they may be, but there is a long road between that and neo-nazis

This is frightening. It just proves that every religion has its extremist followers.

One thing that I found particularily ridiculous was the idea that 911 was caused by "homosexuals, feminists, pagans, and abortionists." Is that guy on crack?

Ha, kinda sucks when invidible cosmic forces have more sway over people than reality does..

Last I heard, the amount of people joining the extreme right is going down, with the amount of atheism going up.

Pretty typical in the US and I have a feeling that it'll get worse.

So do they get kicked out or anything for being disruptive?

These assholes showed up in San Francisco too, trying to intimidate the city's tight knit gay population. Too bad ignorance isn't a crime.

Yeah, Jesus crack.

It would be pretty amusing to get a few dozen people on the inside of one of those things (positioned near the exits, hopefully) to fuck things up.

I'll have to watch for on of these things coming to my area.

There's no need to be afraid folks. Let me explain. A lot of the young people who go to these events are not extreme religious nuts. Some of them genuinely want to improve the world they live in while others are confused. They just attend these events out of curiousity then they go home and do their own thing--- dabble in recreational sex, drugs and rock, rap music. Sure some of the people that go to these events are despicable monsters but the fear is disproportionate to the reality of it.

Yeah I do know people who are all "front" and behind closed doors do things that contradict their image they put across.

I heard that in some areas of the USA that atheists are sometimes so afraid to come out as atheists that many form themselves into kind of support groups. I think it's pretty sad that they are forced to do this.
