Hey i was looking around the revleft forums and there was a site listed titled www.obeygiant.com and i was wondering what the site was all about...i mean im just guessing it has something to do with Andre The Giant.

Could anyone lend their insight on this?

Well...i decided to do some research for myself then and heres what i came up with.

"The Obey campaign can be explained as an experiment in Phenomenology. The First aim of Phenomenology is to reawaken a sense of wonder about one's environment. The Obey campaign attempts to simulate curiosity and bring people to question both the campaign and their surroundings. Because people are not used to seeing advertisements or propaganda for which the motive is not obvious, frequent and novel encounters with Obey propaganda provoke thought and possible frustration, nevertheless revitalizing the viewer's perception and attention to detail."

so what i gather from this is that ObeyGiant.com (http://www.obeygiant.com) is just an experiment to provoke thought about propaganda. I think it's an interesting topic...you all should take a look.
