I just put a debate on hold with an acquantaince until tomorrow and was just wondering if I could get some tips on how I should continue to dominate his arguments :D Help a brother out ;)

Just to show you how easy this might be, he tried to apply greed to communism:

ItWontBeLong89: the only reason anyone does anything is because they are greedy for happiness

He mainly believes that:
-Every transaction should be "voluntary"

[In response to this article: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1636382/posts]
ItWontBeLong89: but still, people are not entitled to housing
ItWontBeLong89: housing is a piece of property that needs to be given to them in a voluntary transaction
ItWontBeLong89: a trade where both members of the transaction know exactly what they are getting and are content with it
ItWontBeLong89: no force or fraud involved
ItWontBeLong89: if the creator of the house wants to voluntarily give the home to the worker who works a decent job, 40 hours a week he can

-U.S. is not capitalist because the government puts restrictions on the owners free trade. This doesn't have to relate to communism, I just want to prove him wrong.

-Child labor is OK in 3rd world countries -_-

ItWontBeLong89: if you go over there and say that what the company is doing is wrong, you are destroying that families only way to make money
ItWontBeLong89: its not the most opportune situation for the family

-Communism is morally OK but should be a voluntary transition
I told him the CEOs would never give up their riches and 10 mil a year and would hate not being better then anyone else.

I guess I'm just looking for something to kick him over the edge onto communism but he is a bit stubborn and maybe a bit crazy.
BTW I don't know much about it so could someone please explain some basics of anarcho-capitalism and if he is near the point. And feel free to IM him on AIM and preach away or IM me and we can chat if I have the time ;)
Thanks

P.S. I have already read the high school commie guide :)

Capitalism can be defined as a method of using greed to motivate. The problem with it, is in using greed to motivate, you end up training people to become much more greedy, by basic reward training.

Capitalism requires restrictions. Restrictions are what hold the system together. With out it, restrictions it breaks down quickly into a complete slave and master system.

Child labor is ok, as long as it is not slave labor. I worked when I was a child, and I'm glad. It helps me in many ways, made me a better person I think. The problem is Capitalism drives people to the point of slavery.

Don't worry about CEOs not giving up their companies. Their companies will go bankrupt once the change starts to taking place. They'll become poor, and then they'll join.

Sounds like he maybe has a problem with the fact that direct democracy is authoritarian. It is the group as a whole having authority over the actions of the individual. Check this out: http://anarchist.com/ and be sure to check out the decision making system. That is an alternative to direct democracy.

Thanks for the reply, I think it went well because the entire table ended up supporting me, even though they don't know too much about politics, but he ended up saying that I definately knew what I was talking about and kind of admitted defeat :D
But I think you misunderstood what I said, mainly my fault because I took it out of context. I was talking about the laissez-faire policy of the U.S. and the intense child labor with kids losing fingers and such on machinery and working 18-hour days.
Thanks for the tips, the debate was fun and I hope to have one again soon!
