They've got some crazy costumes.

What a coincidence, NoXion voted for them.

It would be even more awesome if there was a moshpit in the end!

Aye, can't wait till it's in Finland - there really will be moshpits

Absolutely fantastic, I loved watching it. I'm not a great fan of Lordi, but I voted for them and think they are fantastic and I am a fan of Finnish music (Children of Bodom, The 69 Eyes, HIM, Apocalyptica, Charon etc...) so I was ecstatic that Lordi won! A big "fuck you" to the fundamentalist Christians of Europe who wanted them out of the contest for "promoting Satanism."

Hopefully next year will have Children of Bodom representing their nation, I would seriously fly over just to watch that :D

The UK entry was awful, apparently he had a £10,000 bet on him winning hahahah. Complete idiot.

Yeah, Lordi are a welcome change to the usual europop shit that wins, it also proves that it's not just mindless chavs that vote...

The UK entry was the English middle class attempting to become involved with rap music, and yeah he is an idiot im glad he lost his 10k

I voted for them on the pre-condition that they would eat Terry Wogan if they won. I must say I'm slightly disappointed.

Lordi was also good though and I am happy that a rock band won a pop contest.

There was one pretty OK song that I kinda remember, I think it was Bosnia-Herzegowina.

Terry Wogan is the Eurovision song contest, everything else is irrelevant.

I was watching the results as they came in on the TV, and I've never been excited about Eurovision, but Lordi changed that!
They were brilliant, but don't they copy their costumes from Gwar? Or is it the other way round?

So, as someone said, as Children of Bodom should represent Finland next year, don't you just think Emperor should represent Norway? :P

Yeah I guess it is... Very similar to a song from last year by Serbia and Montenegro, baltic countries always do a good job. I think Bosnia came third this year, Serbia was second last year.

Terry Wogan is the Eurovision song contest, everything else is irrelevant.

<_< I don't like that guy for some reason...

I love Lordi, they roooooooooock.

Here's an extract from the song which I think is directed at the usual Eurovision voters, the usual boring pop songs and those who called them satanists:

Hard Rock Hallelujah!!!

Brothers and sisters keep strong in the faith
On the day of Rockoning
It's who dares, wins
You will see the jokers soon'll be the new kings

Here's my little interpretation.

Brothers and Sisters (Eurovision voters)
keep strong in the faith (vote for us)
It's who dares wins(they were the only ones who dressed controversially and sing controversially)
On the day of Rockoning (on Eurovision night when the only Rock song will be heard)
 that is soooo true, these guys are jokers and yes they're new kings coz they won, lol

I keep hearing people compare Lordi to GWAR - that's ridiculous, since their music is nothing like GWAR, and Slipknot also dress up in costumes yet I've never heard people compare them to GWAR.

Although admittedly, one would think their music would be heavier by the looks of them.
