CT FPM looses Behind the Rocks

We got kicked out of the Green Party offices also known as Behind the Rocks Infoshop, a space that was used as a resource center in Hartford, Connecticut. We have since found temporary stay at a local caf to hold onto our books, La Paloma Sabanera.

This isnt that much of a disappointment; we actually welcomed the news to some degree. The space was small and had limited uses. We look to expand to a new location, change the name to possibly just Infoshop or something else and use it as a caf with open mic space, resource center and book store with much more of a visual appeal and larger space to work out from.

We will have more news this week when we update the website www.fpm-mgl.org/ct , along with more detail on local and international FPM news.

New Hartford Project

There will be a series of meeting on how to help and get involved. The infoshop is going to be a part of a bigger project. We are looking to raise at least $150,000 to purchase property to provide housing, offices, two store fronts, and several community gardens in Hartford.

For more information you can contact the FPM branch by e-mail at [email protected] or by phone at 860-803-9924. You can also mail us any donations (books or money) to

Did they kick you out when they discovered you weren't an explicitly pacifist movement or something like that?

That kind of shit has happened to me and people I know before, we definitely need more or OUR OWN spaces.

nah, on the real, they kicked us out because we used the space more than they did and they wanted to run their 2006 campain out of there. basically they didn't want to be around socialist who where accually doing something.

hmmm let's see, neighborhood radical bookshop, or campaign headquarters?

I guess that's an easy one if you're a reformist. <_<

I just sent you an e-mail.
