There is a growing consesus for troops at the U.S./Mexican border, and President Bush recently agreed with the Senate on the matter of some kind of fence.

It's clear the House and Senate will put aside their differences and work for some agreement that will make them appear useful, as the majority of Americas currently hold Congress in contempt.

But most Americans want many changes at the border, including the troops, a fence, and the "Deep Roots" approach to legalization.

77 percent, support a program that would clear the way for illegal immigrants to seek citizenship if they've been in the United States for at least five years, pay a fine and back taxes, learn to speak English and have no criminal record (at least no prior felony.)

It will be interesting to see if this helps the President's image at home, which is at an all time low of about 31% approval rate.

I don't think this president cares what his numbers are. He knows that he is not going to run again, and has never cared about helping out anybody other than his large corp buddies anyway. I do see a rise in violence on the borders, and the new "KKK" (aka Minute Men) are not the most sensible with their actions. The regular news channels have not been reporting the happenings but the INN (Internation News Network) has been showing the shootings and violence nightly. This problem is only going to grow.

Such a growing violence can only lead to Revolution in Mexico very shortly.

If 4/5 of those wanting to enter the U.S. illegally are denied being able to do so, Mexico will have a greater crisis than it has now, and socialism will eventually be the only choice.

This coupled with Mexico's anti-Federalist government views will fuel the fire.
