Why hello there,

I'm a brand new revlefter as of about 10 minutes ago. So I thought it would be proper to introduce myself. My name is B.E. Jones. Most call me BJ or just by my last name. I have just of a few months ago become extremely fascinated with Communism of all sorts (save Stalinism, and Maoism I find them...contradictary to the definition of communism  ).

I was originally attracted to Communism when my history teacher began reading the Communist Manifesto about 7 months ago in my 11th grade World History class. I found myself agreeing with most of the text, my family being from a poor backround. Then later in the week I decided to research it further. I began to become more and more aware of current social injutices caused by Capitalism and the class hierarchy in general in my native U.S. and among other countries. I soon found myself a very passionate supporter of the Marxist Theory.

Ever since I have been a speaker for Communism at my school. I find myself teaching my fellow classmates and friends about the "True" nature of Communism, not the Stalinistic totalitarian state depicted by the modern media. I also campaign in my school to educate people of the works of Marx, Lenin and Trotsky (though later actions of Lenin are questionable by some), I usually encounter a large ammount of oposition at my school, figuring my school is based in a upper class town most of the students have parents who are fierce republicans. Despite this I have now made it my duty to dispell the myths about communism in my community, but as I tell many of the people I teach...My knowledge is only so much.

That is why I came here. To learn from more knowlegable Communists/Socialists like the ones here. I just recently came upon TheRedStarPapers which ergo lead me here. I hope that I will be a contributing addition to your forum, and also in turn learn the much more in depth side of Communist/Socialist theories.

Glad to be apart of REVLEFT!!
P.S. Pardon my Horrific grammar

Welcome. I myself am a Trotskyist but I suggest you read deeper into Mao, he's principles are actually quite interesting and odly non-Stalinist.

Interesting. Did he read from it because he agrees with it or what?

I know that if my sociology teacher had the chance all he would ever do is recite from the communist manifesto and preach Marxism all day.
