Recently Labour announced their idea of giving certain hsopitals more funds thatr they can spend how they like. It has a lot of support in the Labour party, apparently, but the more left in the group fear it will lead to a 2-tier health system. I don't know much about it, anyone else heard anything on the matter?

from what i know the hospitals that 'perform' well will get extra funds to spend how they like.

if what i know is true then this has to be the craziest idea ever. its the same as the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. good hospitals will get more money at the expense of the bad ones which in my opinion are bad because they are underfunded, or because of their location.

bad hospitals are those in which mistakes are made or where they have excessive waiting lists, so what labour are saying here is that cover up the waiting lists so we look good and you will get more money.

the hospitals that do not have the facilities to cope with the number of patients will suffer.

What fucks me off is that loads of Labour MP's support this, they just want to look good, a disgrace to the left-wing.

Thats why we must enter the Labour party where the masses are,and reclaim it for the workers.

THe LP was made by the workers for the workers, not it has a disgraceful rightwing leadership, it is time to join the LP and to work within the constituency level and make it a party FOR the workers and unions
