Heya,

After much delay the Queer Collaborations 2006 website is now online and registration is open!

http://www.qc.org.au

To register as a delegate for the conference, simply go online and go to the Registration tab in the navigation menu.

Any information you need about the conference should be available online, but a few basics are:

* Delegate registration is $90 and includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea each day as well as conference materials and resources, the reader and access to all conference activities
* Accommodation is being provided at $160 per person for check in on Sunday 2nd of July and check out on Saturday 8th of July with breakfast included
* A welfare program providing financial assistance to delegates suffering financial hardship is available to subsidise registration, travel and accommodation expenses for the conference. Anyone interested in applying can do so online as part of their registration.

This year, all registration is conducted online and payment is via bank deposit or wire transfer. Delegates manage all payment and accommodation requests (including who they wish to stay with) online. If you are a campus Queer/Sexuality officer or other person who will be co-ordinating payment for a group of people, please register online and contact me (by phone or e-mail) so I can make you a payment co-ordinator. This will give you the ability to allow others to join your payment list so you can easily administer their payment.

Since registration is opening so late this year I would ask that everyone really push hard to get anyone who is coming to the conference to register (or even 90% sure). Payment can be taken care of at a later date (registration cut-off yet to be announced), but the sooner everyone registers, the sooner we understand numbers and special requirements such as dietary and disability needs. Delaying registration, especially for vision/hearing impaired/wheelchair bound delegates, may limit our ability to cater for their specific needs.

If anyone has any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact me on the details below (and I am trying as quickly as possible to get through the backlog of e-mails/messages that I've been sent).

Over and out.
