Well, everyone, guess who was rewarded the first oil/construction contracts in post-war Iraq? A company owned by Cheney, what else? Does this seem familiar to anyone who has studied history?.....The Brittish East India company, and the eventual lead to India becoming a slave to Brittish imperialism? "he who fails to study the past is doomed to repeat it" looks like our country needs to hit those history books.

2 things.

1- cheney does not "own" Haliburton. He was on their board of directors, and stepped down when accepting the Vice Presidential nomination.

2- For what it's worth, Haliburton has a long history of rebuilding after catastrophes. Is it possible that they wre the right person for the job?

aitie, i get ur point, and i probably came on to harshley to that subject. However, there is a general preference for right-wing companys and companys assosiated with either Bush Sr. or Jr. and the administration.
