There was a stand-alone comic of what it would have been like if Superman was a communist (had crash-landed in the Ukraine instead of Kansas). It's quite good, though some here may object to it on it's portrayal of the USSR and US.

Look! He is giving the Fascist salute!
A quick google search revealed that, oddly enough, Marvel Comics had a series of Communist super-heros called 'Red Guardian':

DC Comics also, again weirdly enough, had a Communist super-hero called 'Red Star':

Or someone could pin a thread under the graphics topic with a few links to different sites....suggesting they have the comics themselves up.

Anyone ever heard of the comic book series called The Red Star?
At first when I read them I thought they were Anti-Communist, but not I understand they are actually Anti-Revisionist, and pro-Communist revolution.
The story basically uses fictional characters who represent real historical characters to tell the story of capitalist restoration in the Soviet Union under Khruschev, but in the altrenate history, the proletariat rises up in revolution to restore socialism.
I'll post some photos....

Marvel Comics, especially during the cold war, had tons of so called "communist" characters. Although most seem to be one time characters, a lot of them went on to become major reoccuring heroes/villains. These include:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/99/Omega10.jpg/255px-Omega10.jpg
Omega Red, the KGB equivolent to Captain America (although he's more of a soviet drone than an actual communist)
and, probably most famously,
http://www.menshealth.gr/id/files/590/w_XMEN~comic~Colossus%20Wolverine%20Beast%20Gambit .jpg
Xmen superhero Colossus, who while (of course) was never shown as an outright communist, shows tons of signs of his idealogy, listed all over the internet. There was even a time where, albeint under Acade, I think) where he assumed the identity of "The Proletarian." Check this out:
http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Realm/6198/X-Men/Colossus2.gif
Unfortunately, I think most "communists" in the comic world are Soviet supervillains, but this thread is awesome. I can't wait to check out some of these comics.
Oh, and if you're interested in other Soviet Marvel characters, check out this site: http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/apprus.htm

Robin Hood's not communist. Its true he stole from the rich and gave to the poor but he was only doing it until King Richard came back, and then they would give it all back to him. Not exactly socialism.

Well Makita (the girl with the hammer and sickle on her back) is one of the stories protagonists. The story feature alot of different characters who begin as ordinary people but aspire to be much more. It's a different kind of comic series than the traditional "Super man saves the day! The masses would be helpless without superman!" bullshit.
Other main characters include a Soviet soldier who died for the Soviet Union in Afghanistan, but is brought back from the dead to smash Soviet revisionism and restore socialism. He's a total badass.
As for Makita, who I mentioned earlier, she is a guerilla in Hungary 1956, when Hungary rebelled against the rise of Khruschev and Soviet revisionism.

By the way, this is sort of off topic, but anyone who is interested in The Red Star comics should also check out The Red Star video game for XBOX. It was never released because the publisher, Acclaim, went out of business one week before the games launch.
I honestly think it is one of the best video games I've ever played in my life, and the revolutionary artwork is stunning.
Even though the game never came out, it did leak out to many people. Anyone who would like to get ahold of a copy for their xbox can PM me or send me an IM on AIM, and I'll try to hook you up.

It's almost as if it were made to make communists seem evil. Ok a super power appears out of nowhere using the portal storm and the resonance cascade etc. They are not really a any species because they are all integrated and mixed using the technology, they take all the resources along with killing and opressing people. It kinda reminded me about all the things I herd of post WW2 USSR.

It is "Farewell of Slavianka" or Proshchanie Slavianki, actually a Russian patriotic march that was so closely associated with the czar and the russian whites that it was more or less illegal in the Soviet Union until 1957. After that, it became extremely popular, if not the the most popular march in the Soviet Union and it is still very popular in present day Russia.
