I just watched it.

So sad. Completely unflinching. Beautifully directed by Van Sant (whom I have problems with). Totally understated but still powerful.

The violence is completely gut wrenching. It's one of those movies that reminds you that you can "still be shocked".

I think it's because the violence is so unstylized, so "real".

Absolutely haunting.

Yeah, I've seen it, beautiful job by the director, the whole movie looks really nice, of course, it is really sad. :(

Did you knew that the name, elephant standed for the Republican party?

Yeah i've seen it too. Brutal. It's the way the two boys so easily just went around killing people. Scared the crap out of me cause i go to school the next day and see plenty of people who could do the exact same thing.

Yeah, this is a good movie, violent of course and sad though.
I also thought the filming style was very interesting

Excelent film. The photography, the sequences and the way the developed such a plot based on a true story is just great.

This film was great. Not only was it sad and very frightening because there are a lot of people who would probably do this because they are always laughed at and made fun of, but it is also the movie that made the girl who I like actually talk to me (she works at the video rental store I go to)...it was just small talk, but I got her phone number.

Am I missing something? I have tried watching this film a few times but could never sit through the whole thing so I finally just gave up on it. I am guessing the good part is at the end? There wasn't even much dialogue that I remember, and I grew quite bored because nothing really even went on. Besides boring teen drama, and I see enough of that everyday in school. Maybe I will be able to watch the entire thing one day.

Excellent film other than the shower scene which was totally random and to the best of my knowledge, historically innacurate.

Best part:

Kid #1: Hey you going to the show on Friday?
Kid #2: Nah, my parents are being *****es this week.
Kid #1: Aw, that's retarded.

Uh, yeah the basic story is unfolded not until the end...and yeah it may get boring in the first hour and some-odd minutes, but then at the few last minutes, all hell is broke loose.

What? I loved the shower scene. It seemed like... they were truly innocent, and really didn't realize what they were doing.

All in all, despite Van Sant's "holier than thou" directing style, it was very well done. The problem I have with his directing is not its "different for the sake of being different" quality, but sometimes you get the feeling he's just trying to make things epic when they aren't.

Still a solid piece of celluloid.
