It's hard being Bill Gates.

We should all have his problems.

No, seriously, we should! You know, we can some how form an organization and sorta, kinda, figure out a way to take over the means of production...

Charity is pure shit. He can donate a billion of dollars a day for 50 years, things would still look the same.

OR he could actually USE his money, go to Africa and actually build houses and railways and just about anything that humans need.

Ot he could create his own country... Capitalists Republic of Microsoft...

why do you use "peace through power" and the symbol of the EVIL "brotherhood of NOD" as your little title and avatar?

isn't it promoting a bad image?

REDMOND, Wash. (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp. Chairman Bill Gates said Wednesday he wished he were not the world's richest man.
Bill Gates later clarified his statement, saying he "didn't really want to be any of those poor saps" either.

He explained that he did not like the attention of being the world's richest person.
He also explained he would not, however, prefer the anonymity of being one of the world's poorest people.

Still, Gates joked about his plight being unequaled in wealth. Asked if he surrounded himself with financial peers, he quipped, "No, I sit alone."
Such a hilarious man.

Poor, poor Bill

Did I miss something here? Isn't poor old Bill free to give away money to his heart's content? Or are there laws against good deeds in the US now?

Seriously, you cannot tell me he isn't the world's richest man by choice. He takes so much pride in the fact he gives lots of money to aid the world's poorest countries, and yet being the smart man that he is I'm sure he realizes such donations, however large, are still too small to make a difference... And on the other hand, he claims his abundance of wealth is too large for his own liking.

Hmmm... What to do?

The funny thing is that Bill Gates has probably done more for people in need than all of us combined.

Fuck his charity! Who is he to decide who gets medicine who gets jobs and housing and so on.

I am not intrested in charity, I'm interested in justice!

Sure the robber barrons built music halls and museums and universities in the guilded age, but they also hired pinkertons to assasinate union members and militan workers and crush strikes.

The super-rich are to modern workers and the poor what the Monarchy was to the peasants! People today have it hard but they are somehow convinced that the free-market and big business will protect them from burocracy and the government and create competition that will keep their high living costs low (even though healthcare, energy and rent and all other bills keep going up). In the feudal era, peasants thought the monarchy was the protector of the people since it acted as a "balance" or check against the power of the local larndlords... what many failed to see was that the king and the lord were all part of the same system even if they occasionally had differences and tried to gain a bit more power over the other at different times.

This fucker disgusts the hell out of me.

If he is so sick of being the richest man, I say we help him out and do something about it. Wealth redistribution anyone?

Don't worry, he won't be the richest man for long. Sony has already announced that the PS3 will be running on Linux.

Xbox 360 is already a net loss

The Halo series has dropped in public intrest almost 30% after Halo 2.

XP has become the most pirated piece of software on the net

France has legalised P2P, along with quite a few other countries, so therefore the "threat" of P2P will always be there.

Microsoft is on its last leg. Longhorn already has horrible reviews. He won't be such a rich fucker when Microsoft starts going down shit creek.

What? Aren't they communists? :D

isn't it promoting a bad image?

A fictional organization from a game that takes place in an alternate timeline? No. Besides, what about people who promote Stalin and countries like North Korea?

Sending files will always be legal. Sending copyrighted files will not. Brussels has required more power into combatting crime - inlcuding internet piracy - all over Europe.

well microsoft is a financial juggernaught they can take financial beatings for decades.

i mean just look at the price of the windows OS its hundreds of euro's/dollars one moron that buys that shit pays for the financial loss of hundreds of a pirated version.
(ashamed to have a legal copy of windows it came with my pc :( )

btw. the brotherhood of NOD is the coolest game faction ever in my opinion (too bad C&C is almost dead but EA is necromancing tiberium wars right now)
