General Strike in Puerto Rico

In response to the massive lay-offs of public sector jobs in recent weeks in Puerto Rico, and a deepening economic crisis, it appears that the seven largest unions in Puerto Rico are teaming up and are launching a general strike on Tuesday (tomorrow). It's too bad that this will get such little play here in the US, unless it becomes deadly. I think that Puerto Rico is going through a crisis right now and the people there will suffer greatly over the next few months, if not years. Mainland America will witness very little of what really happens there.
