These are the ideas that we need to propose in order to alter the negative image of communism and socialism. You might have already heard these kinds of ideas, but we need to expand on them:

1: A concerned, liberal government that abhors totalitarianism and has total control over every business in the land.

2: The increasing of the minimum wage from 6-8 dollars an hour to 13-15 dollars an hour.

3: A federal "suggestions" program that listens to the opinions of the people and takes them into consideration (for example: "more tax cuts for the poor").

4: Attempt on the part of government officials to discuss trade negotiations with more than one country.

5: Mandatory affirmative action (this is not to say that whites should be excluded from being hired; just that it should be mandatory for companies to hire blacks and women on occaisions).

6: Mandatory company training for those who, if hired via mandatory affirmative action, do not have the skills to do that job.

7: Elimination of corporate welfare; companies do not deserve special treatment from the government.

8: Elimination of foreign sweatshop labor; the raising of foreign labor wages to at least $14 an hour.

9: A healthcare program that provides health insurance to those who need it. This program must be monitored by the government and paid for by the richer taxpayers.

10: More environmental regulations on companies.

11: Better workplace safety regulations.

12: The preservation of freedom of speech, expression, thought, and life.

These are the ideas that we need to propose now. Again, these have probably been thought up before, but still, WE NEED THESE IDEAS!! :hammer:

See reformism.

The goal is the elimination of the class system and the abolishment of private property. The abolition of the state inherently coincides with the end of private property, which your "platform" does not provide for.

You are simply creating capitalism with a human face, not directly challenging the system with the intent to destroy it.

This is evolutionary socialism. It's far better than what we have know and alot easier to achieve3 but it's still not the promise land that occurs after the revolution. Overall it sounds good for the current state we're in now except for Affirmative Action. I think it should be expanded to everyone who is underprivleged, not just underprivleged minorities.

1. socialism was never meant to be totalitarian, a common misconception fueled by a frightened wealthy upper class which influenced the media and government into preaching that the two went hand in hand. The error with socialism or socialist nations was that it seemed to require a dictator which despite the bad connotations simply means life/long term ruler and the men who rose to take the seat due to whatever reason found it necessary to loose sight of the original objective and become totalitarian.

2. What is the need for a minimum wage. If one man/ woman makes more then another it will only encourage envy and prevent the abolishment of social classes which is crucial to the formation of a society in which equality is to be more then a word.

3. I agree.

4. I agree, however with nations such as the US raising materialist children on the belief that they should not associate themselves with communists or socialists and the influence they have on the world it will be difficult.

5. I unfortunately see the need for affirmative action however its my hope that when a true socialist/communist society rises that the need for such legislation should not exist.

6. I agree

7. I don’t know much about corporate welfare, so at this point I can’t talk on the matter.

8. I agree with the abolishment of sweatshops but once again I believe in a set wage for everyone regardless of what they do.

9. There shouldn’t be a richer. The existence of a “richer” only means that materialism hasn’t yet been abolished and that equality isn’t yet in existence the government should provide healthcare for everyone and it should be funded by the taxes paid to the government by EVERYONE.

10. I agree although it may be getting to the point where it’s too late.

11. I agree

12. Couldn’t agree more.

Viva la revolucion!
