How it's explained:


The flag, measuring 1:2, represents all three American revolutions. The First Revolution is represented in the 13 stripes along the fly; the Second Revolution is represented in the concentric circles of yellow stars (which was a common pattern and color used on battle flags during that time); the Third Revolution is represented in the red field that begins at the hoist and extends two-thirds of the way across the standard. The flag has a total of 65 stars. The two concentric circles and corner bursts total 52, representing the existing 50 states, plus the District of Columbia and one other member of the Union to be defined at a later date. The 13 stars in the middle of the concentric circles represent the 13 "Grand Nations" of Native America, which also represents a commitment to returning Native Americans to a central place in North American culture and society.

:D That's why I did it. Flags are all the same to me. I think they should all be burned. I'm a firm supporter of Jean Genet's 1968 statement "Unfortunately, I don't think we can win without the red and black flags. But they must be destroyed afterwards."

Yea, they would become obsolete in the society they symbolise struggle for. Though I imagine they would become a symbol of history and nostalgia, along with all "revolutionary" flags.

I think that it should be inverted, One big star, red. White backround. Blue or black, and red stripes.

I agree that eventually flags will be obsolete. But as for regional flags, I think they should be used during the Revolution, to symbolize the internationalization of the Struggle, and to show Solidarity between different areas of the world, i.e., if the United States was liberated first (as if), we could march into Mexico, black flag (or red) on one side and an Americanized leftist flag on the other.

They did this in the American Civil War (a bloody and relatively reactionary conflict, on both sides, interestingly I am descended from soldiers who fought for either side) to represent different regions and different states.

I really think we ought to discourage anything resembling the nationalist symbol that is the US flag, and not just because it's ugly and has a horrible color scheme. But just for fun, I made this nonsensical flag that I hope nobody ever flies.
