Why right side up? (American Flag)

I like to use flags in my 'art', the initial idea was 'true american heroes' or something like that, I can't really remember I did this a while ago and found it while looking through files on my PC... Originally I think the picture was Huey P Newton...
As to why the flag is the right side up, purely because I though it worked better with Malcolm's head... initially it was inverted, but.. yeah, I changed it...

dude, I think Malcolm would be VERY insulted by that picture.
The art looks great, but the US flag represents the opression and relentless exploitation of Black people.
Redo it with a red-black-and-green Black Nationalist flag!

The second one is insane!
I don't think it'd look good with the black nationalist flag. burning american flag is MUCH better

I don't think that Malcolm X would appreciate neccesarily the black nationalist flag. Partly because of his religious affiliations and secondly due to his repudiation of a lot of the black nationalist sentiments that he shared before his trip to Mecca. I think that Malcolm understood the unequal racialized power relations in society, however, he did not believe that the solution was a return to Africa or the creation of a new black state. I understand that Malcolm's legacy has been claimed by numerous organizations including the BPP, the cultural nationalists, the black nationalists, the return-to-Africa folks etc, but to impose him onto that flag would be unfair to his own set of politics.
