Far-right embarrasses "left" in Bulgaria...

It's sad when a country's "left" is allowing the U.S. military to use its bases and the only people opposing it are on the fascist right. The left is supposed ot be BETTER than the fascists!

The governing coalition responsible for this betrayal of socialism, freedom, and the Bulgarian people is formed by the "Socialist" Party and a party representing the Turkish minority.

This article (http://www.antiwar.com/orig/borisova.php?articleid=8910) says that Ataka is the only significant Bulgarian party to oppose the war. Also, someone ran in to Siderov's (Ataka leader) car for unknown reasons. It seems the authorities are trying to jail him on manufactured charges, which will only galvanize his extremist base.

I don't think it's that challenging to galvanise Bulgarians in support of Ataka...The left betrays them and the neo-liberal right fails them, so what other option do they have?
