The BBC attempts to "soften the message" by referring to the homophobic thugs as "nationalists"...but that they are militant Catholic Christians is indisputable.

Tell me again why we should "tolerate religion"...I forgot. :lol:

Wow. I did not think the situation was this bad, even in a Catholic country.

I'm very glad I'm no longer Catholic. That was just mental. We're all human beings...
And yes, organized religion shouldn't be tolerated.

Some of those eastern bloc countries have really gone reactionary since the USSR disintegrated.

Because people are free to think whatever they want. What shouldn't be tolerated is people overstepping the boundary of thinking what they want and interfering with other's freedom, which is clearly the case here.
